Hitwise is a commercial service offering competitive intelligence of online market share in various industries and sectors. Hitwise has partnered with a range of Internet Service Providers (ISP’s), collecting from them the aggregate number of website visits served through their network. The figures from each ISP are then further aggregated and analysed to calculate a website’s position in the rankings.
