August Hitwise table of most visited Government sites

Hitwise is a commercial service offering competitive intelligence of online market share in various industries and sectors. Hitwise has partnered with a range of Internet Service Providers (ISP’s), collecting from them the aggregate number of website visits served through their network. The figures from each ISP are then further aggregated and analysed to calculate a website’s position in the rankings.

The following tables in this post show the top 10 Local Government websites for week ending 29 August 2009, based on number of visits only to avoid it being seen as a league table or in a negative perspective. :
